What you'll do
- In your role you will lead the negotiation, drafting and review of procurement contracts for direct and indirect materials (including quality agreements), service agreements (including SLAs), CAPEX and maintenance contracts
- You collaborate with technical teams, colleagues in local procurement as well as with the legal and finance team to ensure contracts meet business needs, compliance standards and risk management requirements
- Furthermore you will stay abreast of regulatory developments that may impact the operations and contracts
- Your responsibilities include the monitoring and managing of the contract performance. That implies the compliance with terms and conditions and addressing any issues or disputes that arise
- Providing training and guidance to procurement staff on contract management practices and category specific aspects is part of your job
Who you are
- You have established the basis for your professional journey through Bachelor’s degree in Business, Law, IT or a related field. Advanced studies in law, such as a Juris Doctor (JD) or a Master of Laws (LLM), especially with a concentration in contract law, commercial law or technology law, is highly preferred
- Proven experience in contract management and global contracts reenforced by a healthy assertiveness will distinguish you
- Strong negotiation skills with a track record of securing favorable terms in complex high-value contracts, underpinned by a solid foundation in legal analysis and risk management, is a must
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities and fluency in English round off your profile
- Proficiency in contract management software and MS Office suite as well as knowledge of ERP systems (e.g. SAP) is advantageous
