Your tasks

• In this position you will be responsible as Category Manager (m/f/d) for the material groups and projects related to capital expenditures and MRO (Maintenance Repair Operations).
• You drive the centralization of general project procurement with our global category management approach. For this you analyze and identify networks, suppliers, capacities and technologies.
• You carry out new tenders and expand the existing supplier network with new suppliers. In doing so, you will also make potential cost savings visible.
• You identify and further develop methods, tools and processes for benchmarking and the exchange of best practices between departments, regions and countries.
• Last but not least, you will work with our legal department on all contract-related issues.

Your profile

• You have a degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, business administration or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in strategic purchasing in an international environment and sound knowledge of procurement methods and concepts, ideally in the area of CapEx / MRO.
• Business fluent English, German or another language are an advantage.
• Strategic competence and strong negotiation skills. Knowledge of the relevant energy markets and suppliers is a must.
• Very good skills in analytical thinking, communication, intercultural cooperation. You are also authentic, goal-oriented, an independent team player and networker.
• Confident use of MS Office, SAP and BI.
